Sandblasting concrete is one of the major industries we serve at Horton Industrial. In the past, we have sandblasted wastewater treatment the facilities, removed ugly paint from driveways, stripped paint from brick to expose the original look, added a medium profile to concrete, and have done concrete tank work.
For concrete, it is very important to have the correct surface profile when painting. Newly cast concrete is extremely smooth, which means paint will not properly adhere to it. About half of the jobs we do involving concrete is to create the correct surface profile for paint to adhere.
Do you have a warehouse floor, or other surface that needs a profile, but cannot be subjected to a major dust plume or any mess at all? Shot blasting is the answer. Horton Industrial has a machine that acts similar to a lawnmower, except it blasts floors instead of cutting grass. Our shot blaster recycles the blast media and vacuums out the dust. It’s an extremely clean process that will leave you with a good profile on your floors.
